The Name
Firmitas isn’t a slogan. It’s the standard.
Roughly 2,000 years ago, the Roman architect Vitruvius wrote that anything worth building must hold to three principles: firmitas, utilitas, venustas — strength, utility, and beauty. Firmitas comes first for a reason: nothing built well matters if it doesn’t last.
That’s the principle behind the name. Every column we form, every deck we place, is judged first by whether it will still be carrying traffic decades from now.
